Why Spring Is a Great Time for Fence Installation

Why Spring is a Great Time for Fence Installation

While we can’t rule out another snowfall for the Denver area in April, the calendar says winter is over and spring is here. For most of us, that means getting outside more without the need to bundle up or put on snow boots. For those of us in the fence installation business, April means the ground is no longer frozen. That’s the #1 reason we think spring is a great time to put up a new fence. It takes less effort to dig the post holes!

But let’s take a look at why it’s a great time for you as a homeowner or business owner.

Reason #1: The Weather

By this, we don’t just mean the ground isn’t frozen anymore. When the weather warms up, you’re ready to get outside, clean up the property, and spruce things up a bit. Adding a new fence or replacing a dilapidated fence can be part of your spring landscaping projects or outdoor dining expansion. Whatever the reason you install it, a new fence will enhance curb appeal for your home or business.

Reason #2: You Beat the Crowd

Summer is the busiest time for fencing contractors because everyone has the same idea – “Let’s build a privacy fence!” Get ahead of the rush by scheduling your fence installation now. Not only will fence contractors have more room in their schedule than they would in the summer, but the permitting offices won’t be as busy yet either.

Reason #3: You’ll Enjoy the Benefits Sooner

Remember when we talked about getting outside more as the weather warms up? With your new fence, you’ll know your pets and children are safe and secure and can’t wander off the moment your back is turned. You’ll also have privacy for your backyard cookouts – no need to worry about nosy neighbors.

And, your beautiful new fence will be the envy of your neighbors. They’ll ask you who installed it and may even ask you what it cost. It’s up to you if you tell them that second part.

Reason #4: Your Landscaping Will Recover Faster

By scheduling your fence installation for springtime, you give your lawn, flowers, and shrubs a chance to recover or get off to a good start before the hotter temperatures of summer. It’s hard to get newly seeded grass to do as well in the summer as it can do in the spring months.

So there you have it. The reasons that spring is such a good time for fence installation. We welcome you to browse our website to learn more about the various types of fencing materials and determine which one is right for your home or business.
